The Turkish remake of the first part of the comedy “Holop”, filmed with the support of the TV channel “Russia” was released in wide rental

The remake of the first part of the cult Russian comedy “Holop” was released in wide release. Now set in medieval Turkey, the film, directed by Onur Unlyu, is titled "Hill. Magnificent Century." The film was shot with the participation of the TV channel “Russia 1”. The first viewers in North Ossetia have already appreciated the picture. Mete is a spoiled Istanbul major whose life consists of endless parties, spending his father’s money and completely irresponsible behavior. After another antics, the father’s patience runs out, and he turns to a psychologist who practices shock methods of influencing patients. This is the Turkish version of the Russian film "Holop". But instead of the Russian village of the 19th century, Mete falls into the 16th century and wakes up as a groom in the recreated castle of the nobleman of the time of Sultan Suleiman. This is where he realizes he is in the past. Thus begins the re-education of the spoiled heir by immersing him in the environment of the past era, where he will be forced to survive on his own - without connections and parental money. The role of the main character is played by the star of the famous Turkish TV series “Knock on my door” Kerem Bursin. With his incredible acting and charisma, he fell in love with himself and the Russian audience. Fans were looking forward to the premiere, and now they can finally enjoy the film. As the actor himself admits, he did not watch the original version so as not to fall under the influence of a beautiful film. This is the first time he’s been filmed, he says he’s a completely different, new character, not like himself. At the beginning of the film show modern Istanbul and the turbulent life of the hero, in the most beautiful and interesting locations. Then there is an imaginary movement into the past. There are already incredible scenery in the style of the Ottoman Empire, traditional costumes of the magnificent century, attract the attention of the viewer from the first minutes. And of course, the heroes themselves cannot but leave a bright mark in the hearts of people. The atmosphere of the film is fascinating... Turkish color, fascinating chases, scenes in the sea with pirates, sudden Eastern love and, most importantly, actors known to fans of Turkish TV series. Kerem Bursin’s main partner in the film was Melis Cezin, known for the TV series Guljemal and Black Pearl. Actress Melissa Dongel, also known for the acclaimed series "Knock on my door", embodied on the screen the image of Dilber. It is known that the mother of the artist is Russian. The premiere of the Turkish adaptation of the highest-grossing Russian comedy “Holop” took place on January 23 in all cinemas of the country. To implement the idea in life took one of the most famous directors of Turkey – Onur Unlyu. Filming of the remake began in June 2024. The film was shot with the support of the TV channel “Russia”.
