According to him, the oldest cars are domestic brands, their average age is 18.7 years. “Also older than in the whole country, are cars of Japanese brands, the indicator of which was 17.1 years”, – said “AUTOSTAT”. At the same time, cars of American brands have an average age of 15.4 years, and European ones – 13.6 years, even younger than the Koreans – 11.5 years. "But the youngest in Russia are passenger cars of Chinese brands, the average age of which is only 4.9 years," the agency said. Earlier, AUTOSTAT reported that sales of used cars in Russia increased in January by almost 30%.
