On the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland Day in Veliky Novgorod, a forum of children's and youth patriotic associations was held

In 36 school named after Gavriil Derzhavin came pupils of military-patriotic clubs, youths and schoolchildren who only want to join the ranks of this social movement, including elementary school students. Veterans (minor prisoners of concentration camps) were also invited to the meeting. In the solemn ceremony, the youthmen presented each of them with a commemorative medal dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and flowers. In addition to the festive concert, an exhibition of weapons was presented at the forum. Schoolchildren participated in the dismantling of Kalashnikov assault rifles, tried on bulletproof vests, launched quadcopters. Employees of Regardie of the Novgorod region demonstrated how specialized equipment of military personnel works. Today, there are about 900 schoolchildren in the Yunarmiya of Veliky Novgorod, and, according to the organizers, every year more and more people want to join the ranks of this all-Russian youth military-patriotic public movement.
