The crew of the large anti-submarine ship of the Northern Fleet "Vice-Admiral Kulakov" took part in exercises at the combat training ranges in the Barents Sea. This was reported by the Northern Fleet's press service to the Murmansk State Television and Radio Company. During the exercises, the ship's combat teams fired at a simulated aerial target, a small moving target simulating an unmanned boat, and a sea mine. An aviation group landed a Ka-27 helicopter on the ship's deck. Before the start of the combat exercises, the sailors practiced joint actions of the ship with the crew of the base minesweeper "Yadrin," which surveyed and cleared the fairway of mines in the Kola Bay. After that, the "Vice-Admiral Kulakov" was able to safely move out from the base point to the designated areas. As noted by the Northern Fleet's press service, the area of the sea where the exercises took place was temporarily closed to civilian vessels and aviation.
