Nebenzia: Europe wants the conflict in Ukraine to continue.

The UN Security Council adopted an American resolution on Ukraine on February 24, rejecting amendments from Russia and European countries. The resolution does not label Russia as an aggressor and does not mention the need to preserve Ukraine's territorial integrity. "The adopted text is not perfect, but essentially, it is the first attempt to adopt a constructive and future-oriented product of the Security Council, speaking about the path to peace rather than escalating the conflict. Moscow sees the adopted text only as a starting point in the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis," noted Nebenzia. Meanwhile, Europe has taken a position of openly sabotaging the upcoming moves in crisis resolution. "It is obvious that Europe, which has embraced militarism, is the only player on the international stage that wants the war to continue and vehemently opposes any realistic initiatives," emphasized Nebenzia. On the other hand, the European Union (EU) will be able to send its troops to Ukraine after a peaceful agreement is reached between Kiev and Moscow, French President Emmanuel Macron stated the day before. President Donald Trump, on his part, confirmed that he does not object to the presence of European troops in Ukraine as peacekeeping forces after the conflict is resolved.
